”Inspired by the pioneering and not uncontroversial decision last year by Phoenix´s Maricopa County Library District´s Perry Branch to drop the Dewey Decimal System and draw on bookstore categories (see news, LJ 7/07, p. 14), the Frankfort Public Library District,IL, is also dropping Dewey and chronicling progress on the project blog, Freeing Dewey (deweyfree.com).”
